Jammu Tawi, November 26
All employees at Sewa II PS Mashka celebrated the Constitution Day with great fervour & nationalistic zeal. The Preamble to the Indian Constitution was read out by Bikram Singh, Chief Engineer (I/C) and all employees repeated every word with due awe and respect. Singh, in his address, showered immense praises on the Chief Architect of Indian Constitution, Bharat Ratan, Bhim Rao Ambedkar as well as all nationalistic leaders of that period who fiercely debated and argued amongst themselves but eventually gave their full support to the adoption of a unique Constitution for this most diverse nation in the world. He said, this must have been an unforeseen & unparalleled challenged at that time to compile a constitution for a nation of about 35 crore people divided by more than 2000 dialects. A video documentary on the making of Indian Constitution produced by Rajya Sabha TV and directed by Shyam Benegal was played in the auditorium for all employees as well as the family members of the power station.
The celebrations ended with a pledge by all persons to contribute our collective might in preserving the pluralistic and nationalist Identity of each & every citizen of this country.
