Counting in process for DDC elections in Jammu Division

DDC elections which happened for 8 phases from 28th November to 19th December, finally will have the results out today. The vote counting has started across Jammu and Kashmir. Candidates had contested for 20 districts and 280 seats and the counting started at 9 in the morning.

Government Polytechnic College of Jammu will have the vote counting for its respective district. The security arrangements are tight and people only with given cards by the Administration are allowed to enter the counting centre.

Samba has its counting centre – Vimal Muni College. Only candidates and counting agents are allowed in the college blocks where the counting will take place.

Government Degree College of Kathua has been made the counting centre where people aren’t allowed to move from Neher Chowk to Boys Hostel. Section 144 has been imposed in the District.

The counting has started and in few hours, the representatives will be selected.
