Court awards 2 years Imprisonment to Bangladeshi

Jammu Tawi, January 7

Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Mohammad Akram Chowdhary today awarded 2 years imprisonment  and fine Rs 10,000 Mohsin Bayapari son of Amir Hussai Bayapari resident of village Madhipur in Bangladesh.

According to the police case that on May 19, 2014 accused Mohsin Bayapari a Bangladeshi National was handed over by Compay Commander C-Coy of 122 Bn BSF to SHO Police Station RS Pura asserting vide a communication that on May 19, 2014 Ct Bassappa Kuri and Ct. Vikram Singh deployed at BOP Mangral from C-Coy of 122 BN BSF observed that suspicious movement of a person behind OP point and the OP party informed about the movement to BOP Santri/Post Commander Girdhari Lal, who rushed to the site and apprehended this Bangladeshi National from whom nothing was recovered and had also no vlaid documents. On this police registered a case.

Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Mohammad Akram Chowdhary after hearing Additional Public Prosecutor Ajay Singh Manhas appearing for the state convicted the accused for the commission of offences punishable under section 14-A (b) Foreigners Act 1946 and section 12 of the Passports Act 1920 and awarded 2 years imprisonment and fine Rs 10,000/-.
