CRPF is ready to deal all kinds of security challenges: DG-CRPF

In another significant development in security scenario of Jammu region, Shri. K. Durgaprasad, IPS, DG-CRPF paid an operationally significant visit to District Kathua to preside over the colourful Inauguration ceremony of Head Quarter of 121 BN CRPF. In a statement he said- “CRPF is ready to deal all kinds of security challenges of internal security in Jammu and Kashmir.” He also said- “CRPF is fully competent to meet the challenges of militancy and law & order situation for which 60 battalions of the force have been stationed in the State apart from 150 additional companies, which were recently moved here to tackle Kashmir unrest. CRPF and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police have jointly conducted several successful operations in the State and there is a perfect liaison among all security agencies. On the ceremony organised at Group centre C.R.P.F Bantalab,Jammu, Shri. Durgaprasad also presented DG’s Commendation Disc and Certificate to Smt. Anju Dwivedi, Dy. Comdt 84 Bn and CT/GD Mukhtar Ahmad of 121 Bn CRPF for their operational achievements and praiseworthy/commendable work.
It is pertinent to mention here that CRPF has been the leading and most trusted Force of the Union of India over these years. Maintenance of Internal Security by virtue is a herculean task, comprising innumerable challenges and impediments. CRPF has always been instrumental in preserving the integrity and sovereignty of our Nation.
