DC Kupwara takes stock of essential services, winter arrangements

The Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara     G. M. Dar today visited Kupwara Town, Sogam and other areas of the district and took stock of the winter arrangements put in place besides stock and supply position of essential commodities.

The DC reviewed availability of basic amenities including supply of   power, drinking water and other facilities being provided to the people in the Sogarin area. During his visit, the Deputy Commissioner found the Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar of Sogam unauthorizedly absent from duty and attached them with Municipal Committee, Kupwara.

On the occasion, several public deputations met the Deputy Commissioner and apprised him of their issues and grievances. The DC gave patient hearing to them and assured them that all their issues will be redressed on priority.

The DC asked the concerned engineers and officers to gear up their field agencies and ensure redressal of public grievances without any delay. Regarding snow clearance arrangements, the DC was informed that 13 snow clearance machines have been kept available with MED, R& B and MCK.
