DC reviews road clearance works of Mughal road

The District Development Commissioner Shopian G. M. Dar alongwith the team of Mughal Road Division, Mechanical Engineering Officers, Police and Traffic Officials today inspected the road up to Pir Ki Gali.

During the inspection, the DC was informed by the Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Shopian that historic Mughal road will be thrown open after the road is completely cleared of landslide debris.

During the inspection it was unanimously decided not to allow any vehicle to ply on the Mughal road till it is cleared completely as major landslide had occurred near Lalghulam Bridge along the 84-km long road. The CPO said the date of opening of the road will be conveyed to the public soon.
