DCM Public School, celebrates 7th annual day

DCM Public School, Akhnoor celebrated its 7th Annual Day titled “UTSAV -2016” on two consecutive days for its Junior and Senior wings respectively. The programmes were an absolute display of talent and splendid magnitude. The junior School programme was an absolute display of shimmering colours. The senior School programme was equally a package of abundant zeal and fervor.
Simrandeep Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu was the honoured Chief Guest while I.D Soni, State Commissioner, Bharat Scouts and Guides was the Guest of Honour. On day two for junior School, Dr. Parshotam Singh Pathania (Retd) Registrar University of Jammu and Central University, Jammu was the Chief Guest while Mr. N.R Sharma, Head Dean Jammu University and Dean Students Welfare Central University was the Guest of Honour. Ms. Sunaina Sharma, SDM Akhnoor and Mr. Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, Renowned Industrialist SIDCO, Samba were the special guests. The function started with welcome of the Hon’ble Guests and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp followed by scintillating, vibrant and spectacular performances of the students witnessed by the parents, the social and education luminaries and the alumni of the institution.
The director of the School, Mr. Dheeraj Jamwal Sharma delivered a very thought provoking welcome speech. The Principal of the School, Mrs. Rama Jamwal read out the Annual Report highlighting the prominent achievements of the School during the Academic year. The budding students of various sections wooed one and all with their electrifying performances of folk dance, Drama, Music, Mime act, Western Dance and fusion dance. The programme captivated the audiences and was highly appreciated. The Chief Guest Mr. Simrandeep Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu addressed to gathering and congratulated the Management, Principal, Parents, Staff and the students for their indispensable contribution in the success of the programme. He congratulated the School students for their meritorious achievements at State and National levels. Mr. Parshotam Singh Pathania (Retd) Registrar University of Jammu stressed upon imbibing moral values amongst the students. He complimented the endeavours of the staff and students for putting up such a stupendous show. Later Words of Wisdom were presented by the Guest of Honour I.D. Soni and N.R Sharma.
The meritorious students were awarded with trophies and mementos for the remarkable achievements in the academics and co-curricular activities for the Session 2016.
Vote of thanks was presented by the Chairman of the School, S.P Sharma who conveyed his heart felt gratitude and thanks to the dignitaries for showering their blessings upon the school. He also expressed his thanks to the parents for rendering a great support to the progress of the School.
The programme concluded with singing of National Anthem.
