DDC Budgam reviews pace of dev projects

District Development Commissioner Budgam, Mir Altaf Ahmad, today chaired a meeting to take a comprehensive review of various developmental projects being executed under various sectors in the district. Officers of the district administration, engineers from various engineering wings and other concerned attended the meeting.
On the occasion, the District Development Commissioner stressed upon the officers to redouble their efforts for achieving the physical as well as financial targets and to formulate a contingency plan for works to be executed in double shifts.
The meeting was informed that up to November 04, 2016 out of the total available funds 69 percent stands expended. It was further said that under R&B Sector, 33.8 kms of road length has been macadamized, while as 16 schemes are under progress.
While reviewing schemes under PDD, particularly implementation of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana, the District Development Commissioner stressed on timely completion of projects taken up under PHE and Irrigation & Flood Control sectors.
He also reviewed pace of work undertaken under Rural Development Department.
