Srinagar, December 5
Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Tariq Hussain Ganai, today convened a meeting to review the progress made under the National Health Mission (NHM) in the district.
The meeting was informed that during the year 2016-17, out of available Rs 4.35crores about Rs 3.29 crore were expended.
Giving brief of works under health schemes, it was said that 1775 mothers benefited under Janani Suraksha Yojna and an amount of Rs 24.78 lakh were utilized under this scheme. Under Janani Shushu Suraksha Karikaram, 1081normal deliveries and 304 c-sections took place, while as 918 referrals were conducted in the district under the said scheme. Besides, 1381pregnant women were provided diet upto ending November 2016.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal urged the concerned authorities to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all the health institutions of the district, so that better patient care is provided to masses.
The meeting was attended by CPO, CMO, Medical Superintendent and other concerned district officers.
