DDC Kathua reviews functioning of RDD

To review the functioning of Rural Development Department, District Development Commissioner, Ramesh Kumar convened a meeting here at Kathua today. While reviewing the progress achieved under convergence scheme, the DDC stressed upon the concerned officers to take up water conservation and water harvesting works in the district. He also laid thrust for taking up plantation and micro irrigation works and directed BDO’s to complete the SOS works on priority.
DDC called for taking up the work of compound walls in schools and pending Pachayat Ghar buildings on priority. He particularly directed the officers of Rural Engineering Wing (REW) to complete the process of estimation of all the approved works within the fixed timeline besides constant monitoring of the ongoing works for ensuring quality works on ground.
Earlier, ACD Kathua Sunil Sharma briefed the meeting about physical and financial achievements made under various schemes viz MGNREGA, IAY, BADP, District plan etc.
Chief Planning Officer Kathua Ram Rattan, DPO Kathua, Pardeep Kumar besides BDO’s attended the meeting.
