District Development Commissioner Kathua Ramesh Kumar today directed the concerned officers to ensure delivery of public services in expeditious manner within the time lines prescribed under the J&K Public Service Guarantee Act 2011 (PSGA).
The DDC was speaking at a meeting convened here today. He said that the prime objective of the Act is to ensure transparent and responsive administration and prompt redressal of public grievances .He exhorted upon the officers to strictly implement the provisions of the Act and stressed on informing the general public about the services covered under PGSA by displaying information on notice/flash boards in the offices .He also called upon the need to have proper display of name of the officers/officials designated for providing relevant information under the PSGA along with the detail of appellant authorities under the act.
DDC impressed upon the departments to maintain proper register for the record of services provided by respective departments.
Among others, the meeting was attended by AC (UT), Rahul Yadav, RTO Kathua, Amarjeet Singh, SDM, Billawar, Rajeshwar Singh Charak, SDM Hiranagar, Sohan Lal, CMO, Executive engineers of PHE and PDD, Tehsildars and other officers of the district administration.
