DDC Ramban reviews arrangements for R-Day celebration

Ramban, January 07

District Development Commissioner, Ramban   Mohammad Aijaz held a meeting to review the arrangements   for celebration of Republic Day-2017, here today.

Additional District Development Commissioner,  Ravinder Nath Sadhu ,    Assistant Commissioner Revenue  Vivek Puri , ASP Mushtaq Choudhary, Chief Medical Officer, District Youth Services and Sports Officer besides Bankers,   representatives  of various departments including police, Army, CRPF were also present in the meeting.

It was decided in the meeting that the main function will be held at District Police Line Ground at Chandrog where the National Flag will be unfurled by the chief guest followed by the parade comprising the contingents from Jammu and Kashmir Police, IRP, CRPF,   Forest Protection Force, NCC cadets and school children.  Colorful cultural programmes will also be presented by the students.

Issues regarding security, seating arrangements, transport, drinking water and electricity supply, barricading, traffic regulation, illumination of important buildings, medicare and sanitation were discussed in the meeting.

The DDC also constituted various committees like cultural programme committee, award committee and reception committee for monitoring the arrangements.

The DDC directed the concerned officers to ensure better coordination to put in place the requisite arrangements for making national function a grand success.
