DDC reviews arrangements at Amarnath Yatra Langer sites

On the day first day of the Shree Amarnath Ji Yatra this year the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban, Mohammad Aijaz Asad inspected the Langers at Shatani nallah, Kella morh situated beside the Jammu-Srinagar NH44, here today. He reviewed the arrangements for security, sanitation, water, electricity, fire safety and health facilities being provided to the yatries in the Langars.
He directed the concerned officers to ensure all basic and essential facilities at the Langars for the convenience of the yatries.
The Langer managers were directed to follow the Standard Operating Procedures to ensure smooth service in the Langers. During his visit he also interacted with the yatries to have the first hand information regarding the facilities at the Langars. He also talked to the SSP, Ramban,Randeep Kumar and the SSP, Traffic,NHW, Sanjay Kotwal to get an overview of security and the traffic scenario on the NH44 between Patnitop and Jawahar Tunnel. He asked both the officers as well as the Langer managers to take all measures to prevent the traffic snarls near their Langars to avoid any inconvenience to the yatries and other passengers as well.
DDC passed instructions to construction agencies to maintain a strict vigil on maintenance part of National Highway. He asked them to keep machinery deployed for road clearance at critical points in case of any emergent situation. He was accompanied by ADC, Babu Ram, ACR, Vivek Puri and other middle rung concerned officers of civil and police administration. Meanwhile, on the directions of the DDC Ramban, a team led by Executive Magistrate 1st Class, Batote, Saifullah Shah also inspected all the six Langars in Batote area to ensure all the necessary and mandatory facilities for the comfort of the Yatries.
