To review the progress made under Public Service Gurantee Act by various departments, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban Mohammad Aijaz convened a meeting with the concerned officers in his office chamber today. The meeting was attended by Assistant Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ramban Babu Ram, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ramban Mushtaq Chowdhary, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Vevaik Puri, CPO Parshotam Kumar, SDM Gool, SDM Ramsoo, Executive Engineers of PHE and PDD, district officers and Tehsildars.
ADC apprised the DDC on the implementation status of PSGA in the district and the progress recorded by the various offices in providing hassle free services to the locals. Threadbare discussion was held on the all services including the registration of public grievances and their delivery and disposal mechanism followed by the each department. The DDC exhorted upon the concerned officers to maintain a register in their respective offices for recording all grievances of the people and to keep regular check on them.
While warning the officers he said that action under the act shall be initiated for the delay or non delivery of the services to the applicant. To make the people fully aware, the DDC directed the officers to display the hoardings expressing guidelines regarding the Act at their respective offices. In this regard he also asked the SDMs and Tehsildars to organize awareness camps in their respective areas to highlight the importance of the Act. Referring to the accountability and transparency in the administration, he said that it is our moral responsibility to introduce the people with various Acts and rules of the departments so that they do not suffer.
