DDC Samba reviews preparations for Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan

District Development Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda today reviewed preparations for “Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan”.

The campaign will start on Dr. Ambedkar’s 125th  Birth Anniversary on 14th April 2016 and close on Panchayati Raj Day on 24th  April 2016.

On 14th and 15th April, Social harmony programmes shall be organised in every panchayat of Samba district wherein special gram sabhas will be organised and information about various social welfare schemes shall be given.

Plantation drive in the panchayat area and cleanliness drive with focus on collection of polythene shall also be undertaken. Villagers will take an oath for the development of the village and the country. From 16th – 18th April , Kissan Gram Sabhas shall be organized where Agriculture and allied departments shall furnish information about their various schemes.

In Samba, 25 Gram Sabhas shall be organised on each day on 19th, 20th, 22nd and 23rd April where works to be undertaken as part of Village Development Plan shall be approved.

The District Level officers shall also attend these sabhas. On 21st April , Mahila Gram Sabhas shall be organised across the district and Village Health and Nutrition Day shall be celebrated with participation of ICDS and Health Department. The campaign shall conclude on 24th April when PM’s address shall be made available at all Gram Panchayats.

The DDC emphasized upon officers to make it a successful campaign and work with total dedication.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Samba Vivek Sharma, ADC Samba Pawan Sharma, ACD Samba Tilak Raj, DPO Samba Deepak Dubey and heads from various other departments.
