Death of Sadhaya Arora, MLC questions working of BJP leaders

Following unrelenting approach of a father, Health Minister-Bali Bhagat today ordered constitution of four-member committee to probe the death of Sadhaya Arora, son of MLC-Ramesh Arora.
Accusing the hospital administration for death of his son, MLA Arora said that his son died because of negligence and mismanagement on the part of GMC administration. Meanwhile, disappointed with the working of BJP leadership, Arora said that it is unfortunate that despite ministry, BJP leaders did not pay much attention towards his son.
The death of 28-year-old Sadhaya Arora has put entire administration of the GMC hospital under scanner.
On his Uthala today family and friends said that Dengue is not deadly disease and over thousands of cases are registered in hospitals daily, but in case of death of Sadhaya Arora, there is huge negligence on the part of GMC administration.
Sadhaya was admitted at GMC on October 17 with 38000 Platelets count and mild temperature and within one day his Platelet count was reduced to 16000.
On 18th October, 6 (six) points/packs were administered in 10-15 minutes. After which the blood sample was taken. The same sample was given to the GMC Laboratory and also sent to a private Laboratory. The GMC in its report had 62, 000 platelet counts, while as the private lab provided the count of 24000 (From the same sample).
In the evening the Head of Department instructed the concerned doctor to administer 4 (four) more points of fresh platelets.
The patient himself told his father that he overheard the staff saying that they have administered wrong platelets, due to which the body reacted badly to the platelets.
At around 3:30 am on the intervening night of October 18-19, we left for a private hospital in Ludhiana after hectic efforts were made by us for providing doctors to accompany us along with the ambulance.
Talking to Newspoint, Minister of Health-Bali Bhagat said that four member committee has been constituted to enquire about the death and if anyone found guilty shall be fixed.
He further appreciated the faculty at the hospital for putting all efforts to save Sadhaya Arora.
