Delaying Govt formation by PDP looks like drama: Omar

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today alleged that it look like that  Democratic Party (PDP) was a drama on Government formation with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Referring to a tweet Mr Abdullah, said that  in an RTI reply, ministry of home affairs (MHA) has released Governor N N Vohra’s letter to President Pranab Mukherjee informing him about his meeting with two PDP leaders Muzaffar Hussain Baig, Lok Sabha MP from Baramulla and Nizam-ud-din Bhat, PDP general secretary after the death of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on January 7.

The documents released by the Centre claimed that the two senior leaders had approached Mr Vohra intimating him that Mehbooba Mufti was ready to take oath as the chief minister after the death of her father.

Taking to micro blogging site Twitter, the working president of the National Conference (NC) said.  Is this PDP drama more about overcoming internal dissension than it is about more CBMs? Certainly looks like that!!

The Tweet of Mr Abdullah received mixed response on the social network.  If a future leader for CM post can remain confused for so long, it’s questionable dat she wud do anything good 4 ppl, said a tweet while another said more of Dynamic shift in alliance…Congress may wed them.

As such the present alliance is a farce and BJP’s biggest mistake. Jammu and Kashmir is under Governor rule since January 8 as PDP-BJP alliance partners failed to form the government after the death of Sayeed in the AIIMS, New Delhi on January 7.

Sayeed was heading a coalition PDP-BJP government after both the parties agreed to a Common Minimum Programme (CMP) after abandoning their known stands on several issues. (agencies)
