A delegation of seniors National Conference office bearers of Wagoora and Narwaw blocks ( a) of Baramul and District called on Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal Additional General Secretary at Nawai Subh Last week expressing that people of these areas are suffering due to the blocked roads as a result of recent long period of rain including Baramulla – Babareshi road via Cherdari; Patukhah – Kalantra – Babareshi; Chondura –Haji bal; Wagilla Kachwa muqam – chandoosa; Sheri – Laridora- Zandfaran- Namblan ; Wagoora – Kharchak roads. That the embankments of Mondri nullah in Narwaw area has suffered erosions resulting in damage to plantation and structures at several places and pleaded for the strengthening of embankments form Sheri- Adoora (Narwaw) by the Irrigation and Flood control department by way of crate walling to ensure water for irrigation and drinking purposes and avert future loss of structures and plantation. Dr Kamaal assured them that this matter will be brought to the notice of the Administration. In another meeting Shafayat Khan District President National Conference Rajouri expressed Satisfaction at the opening of the Mughal Road after winter months which was the unforgettable gift of Sher – I- Kashmir late Sheikh Mohd Abdullah to the state in general and the people of Poonch and Rajouri in Particular and was started in late seventies by Sheikh Sahab himself against Rs 20.00 crores as Mughal Road Project. 45% of this road stood completed by 89-90 with 15kms and a bridge on punnar nullah 12 kilometers form chandimarh completed from Pooch side and 25 Kms and a bridge at Dubjan on Rambiara nullah completed from shopian side.
