BJP hit out at chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and his cabinet ministers for abandoning Delhiites during the ongoing health crisis. The opposition party said that Kejriwal’s ministers are busy expanding AAP’s footprint in other states while the city is facing a serious dengue and chikungunya menace.
Vijender Gupta, leader of opposition in Delhi assembly, said, “All the ministers are busy in campaigning for the party in other states. They don’t have the welfare of the people on their mind. Their only concern is to expand the party in other states.”
Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay, said, “It is a matter of grave concern that when the city is fighting against dengue and chikungunya outbreak, the Delhi government is on leave. Some are busy in their own treatment while others in political campaigns.” BJP members had also put up hoardings demanding `Right to Recall’ as the Kejriwal government, they said, has failed to deliver on its promises.
Gupta, who is also out of station, questioned the CM’s decision to get operated in Bengaluru. “Why has he (Kejriwal) escaped to Bengaluru?
He has abandoned the people of Delhi at this critical juncture. Why he could not get his surgery done here? Does he have no faith in Delhi doctors? With all ministers out of station, the responsibility of the capital is now with water minister Kapil Mishra at the moment,” said Gupta.
BJP said that the ruling party is giving the wrong
figures of patients.
“The hospitals neither have medicines nor beds to cater to such a large number of patients. Twothree patients are sharing beds in every hospital. The government is misleading the people by releasing wrong figures,” said Gupta.
Meanwhile, Upadhyay asked the three BJP-led corporations to step up the work to prevent the dengue and chikungunya menace.
