DHSS celebrates its golden jubilee celebration

Dogra Higher Secondary School (DHSS) Shastri Nagar Jammu is celebrating its 50 Years of excellence in the field of education. In this connection, a seminar on the topic “Dogri Language and Dogra Monuments” was held at Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu today under the supervision of Managing Director DHSS  Gambhir Dev Singh Charak and Davinder Kour Principal of the school in collaboration with SG Foundation. Davinder Kour Principal of DHSS welcomed the chief guest, students and teachers of the participating institutions.

Th. Gulchain Singh Charak Former Minister and President Dogra Sadar Sabha,J&K was the chief guest on the occasion who has always inspired students to understand the importance of Dogri language and taken lead in preservation of Dogra monuments, which depict the  rich history of own culture and traditions. Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust,  Samar Dev Singh Charak,  Anita Baloria, HoD History Department Jammu University,SM Sahni Convener INTACH Jammu Chapter and Dr. NK Dogra Ex Controller Examination, Jammu University were also present as Special Guests and Judged the participants on the occasion.

The students of different schools of Jammu participated in the event. They spoke about the importance of Dogri language and Dogra monuments. Supriya Uttam of Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, stood First, Sakshi Shan of Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Satwari stood Second, Jasmeet Kaur of Rich Harvest School, Bari Brahmana stood  third in the said competition and consolation prize went to Priya Malbotra of Dogra Higher Secondary school, Shastri Nagar Jammu. Students were given refreshment and certificates of participation. A special vote of thanks was presented by Nirmala Koul, Vice Principal of the school.
