Srinagar, February 12: Asserting that dialogue with Pakistan is necessary if the bloodshed has to end in Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said she will be labelled as anti-national for such comment, but that doesn’t matter as people of the state are suffering.

“Dialogue with Pakistan is necessary if we are to end bloodshed. I know I will be labelled anti-national by news anchors tonight but that doesn’t matter. The people of J&K are suffering. We have to talk because war is not an option,” Ms Mehbooba wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.

Ms Mehbooba also thanked External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for launching passport Seva Kendra in Anantnag in south, Baramulla in north Kashmir and Kathua in Jammu region.

“Thankful to @SushmaSwaraj ji for launching Passport Seva Kendra’s in Anantnag, Kathua & Baramulla. The issue was taken up with the MEA some time ago so residents in those districts don’t have to travel to Srinagar for passport services,” she said.
