Carrying on the objective of helping public under Civic Action Programme DIG Jammu Kathua Samba Range donated ‘Water Cooler’ along with ‘Purifier’ to Government Higher Secondary School Pallan Billawar.
On the occasion SSP Kathua Ms Neeva Jain, Staff Officer Rajnish Pran, SDM Billawar Rajeshwar Singh Charak, Tehsildar Billawar Vishavjeet Singh along with 200 inhabitants of the area besides Sarpanch and prominent citizens were also present.
Both DIG JKS Range and SSP Kathua interacted with the people and Students and assured them full co-operation from police. People also projected their problems during the programme.
DIG JKS Range while addressing the gathering laid stress on police public relation for betterment of the society. DIG informed the people to make best advantage of governments programme and other schemes. “They can seek information under RTI ACT’ Services as envisaged under Public Service Guarantee Act etc”, he added.
DIG also distributed refreshment to the students on the occasion. People of the area were highly thankful to the J&K police for this Civic Acton.
In addition, police also organised Police-Public Meet of DIG with prominent citizens of Ramkot Tehsil Billawar along with SSP Kathua Neeva Jain. Citizens appreciated the role of police in day today life and put forth their problems like issuance of Birth certificates at Ramkot.
