DIG inaugurates Mega Disability Board Camp

Aiming at empowering the “persons with disabilities” at their threshold by issuing “Disability Certificate”- Sahyog India conducted a “Mega Disability Medical Board Camp” at Sub District Hospital Sohanjana in collaboration with Chief Medical Officer’s office Jammu under supervision and guidance of Directorate Health Services Jammu.
More than 800 persons with multiple disabilities came from far-off remote border areas of Tawi Island.
Total 90 disability certificates were distributed instantly to the needy by the team of doctors and technicians, comprising Dr Vikrant Sharma, Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr Rajni Gupta, ENT consultant, Dr S Vikrant Singh, Pediatrician, Dr Inderjeet Singh, Physician specialist, Dr Arti Khajuria, Ophthalmologist, Shri Mohinder Chandel, Opthalmologist Technician, Bahudar Singh,
Sr. Pharmacist.
The camp was inaugurated by Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, Deputy Inspector General of Police Jammu Kathua Range by enlightening the ceremonial lamp.
The Chief Guest of the function DIG said, that one can access the pains and sorrows of Persons with Disabilities PWDs’ only on ground else nowhere and Sahyog India deserves all commendations for taking lead for such wonderful initiatives with a commitment to serve the humanity in such tough areas with sole dedication.
Dr DK Kapoor-Chairman Sahyog India in his address termed the approach of Sahyog India need of hour to make the specially abled persons to realize that they are the important part of society and the government and the non government agencies are well aware of their agonies and still there is lot to be done yet for such a target group.
