DLRC meeting held at Kathua

In order to review the flow of credit under Annual credit Plan, 2016-17 and performance of banks in key areas relating to deposits advances and priority sector, District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting was held at Conference hall of DC office Kathua today.
District Development Commissioner, Kathua Ramesh Kumar presided over the meeting.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Kathua, LDO, RBI, AGM NABARD, Chief Planning Officer Kathua, other officers of line departments, Bankers were present in the meeting.
The Chairman DLRC (DDC, Kathua) Ramesh Kumar took reviews of the performance of banks in key areas like deposits, advances, priority sector and CD ratio. DC called for enhancing targets relating to deposit, advances and priority sector advances. While reviewing the CD Ratio, which was recorded 46.69 % in the district, DDC laid Stress for improving the CD ratio to achieve the target of 55% for the year 2016-17.
The DDC took detailed stock of road map of providing banking services and progress of services in unbanked areas. He called for concrete efforts from banks and line department to give requisite fillip to rural credit dispensation particularly to Agriculture/SHGs/Weaker Sections/Women, and asked the participants while the targets are indicative more required to be done to achieve and contribute in the development of the district to ensure socio-economic justice.
He exhorted upon the bankers and line department to work in close liaisons to ensure hassle-free financial assistance and successful implementation of various Govt. sponsored schemes by organizing awareness camps thus motivating all to take benefit of various schemes like PMJDY, PMJJBY, PMSBY and MUDRA Bank Yojana. For enhancing skill of the unemployed new avenues should be identified along with proper finance/training facilities to facilitate them to establish industrial units for improving the socio-economic condition of the educated unemployed youth.
He said that as per the directions of RBI, a drive has been launched for 100% financial inclusion of rural people and to provide the banking facilities at their doorsteps.
