Doda Congress remembers Rajiv Gandhi on birth anniversary

Rich tributes were paid to Former Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi on his 72nd birth anniversary in Bhaderwah .
The main function was celebrated by District Congress Committee Doda (DCC) at Bhaderwah which was presided over by the District president of Congress Doda and MLC Naresh Kumar Gupta and also attended by all office bearers included senior leaders.
MLC Naresh Kumar Gupta recalled the contributions of the Late Rajiv Gandhi and asked party men to follow his ideals. He remembered his great contributions in bringing Panchayat Raj system in the Country, lowering the voting age from 21 years to 18 years to ensure that young voters participate in the electoral systems and determine the future of the Country. MLC also threw light on the social and political career of Rajiv Gandhi and lauded his role as a political leader and Prime Minister of the Country.
He said that Rajiv Gandhi was a great architect, who visualized the necessity of modernizing India to compete with the rest of the world in all spheres of development and progress.
Shabir Ahmed Khan, Dharam Pal Dogra, Saleem Wani, Bal Krishan, Abdul Quyoom Khan, Chuni Lal, Santh Ram Shaan, Abdul Hafeez Bhat, Krishan Chand Kotwal, Karan Singh, Neeraj Verma, Raju Wala, Hans Raj Kotwal and other were also present on the occasion and pays tribute to former Prime Minister on his birth anniversary .
