Dogra Educational Trust organises farewell party

Dogra Degree College Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, under the aegis of Dogra Educational Trust today organized a “Farewell Party” in the college indoor auditorium with great fervour and zest.
The day began with the lighting of the lamp and commenced with the welcome address by the students. The entire atmosphere was enthralled with fabulous performances by the students. The event included range of performances marvelously showcased by the juniors from BBA, B.A. & B.Com Courses. The performances included solo songs and dances, Karan Razdan and Sakshi Charak – students of BBA 6th semester were given the titles of and farewell respectively.
Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, former minister and chairman Dogra Educational Trust was the chief guest of the occasion. Poonam Gupta, former principal Dogra Degree College was the special guest. The chief guest, in his address applauded and appreciated the talent exhibited by the students. He wished the passing batch success for their future endeavors.
He emphasized on the fact the Dogra Educational Trust stands for promotion of quality and inclusive education for all and is not a profit making organization.
The Director, Administration and Campus Development S C Khajuria, also motivated the students to perform their exceptional best in all future activities, and uphold their core values. He, on the behalf of the management announced the names of the meritorious students of the college. The highlight of the day, remained the encouraging gesture, on part of the management, DET, for rewarding its academically outstanding students, who have been offered scholarship worth 35 lakhs to encourage quality education in Dogra Group of Colleges. Vishali Menai, Gulfam Malik, Damini Chib, Akash Bala and Rishav Rajan of 2nd semester B.A, B.Com and BBA were awarded cash reward of Rs. 5000 for their meritorious achievements.
The Incharge Principal, Dogra Degree College, Dr. Ritu Jasrotia, congratulated the students for their success so far, and also thanked the management, faculty and students for putting up awesome cultural extravaganza.
Prominent among those present were Samar Dev Singh Charak, secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, Professor V P Magotra, principal, Dogra Law College and Shefali Sharma, Principal, Dogra College of Education. The day concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Avantika, Lecturer Dogra Degree College.
