Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) president Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak today greeted B S Slathia for his thumping victory as president of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA) in the elections recently held.
In a meeting held here wherein Charak also congratulated all other elected members of the JKHCBA for their victory ie vice president Sachin Gupta, general secretary Prem Nath Sadotra, joint secretary Himanshu Sharma and treasurer/cashier Cheten Misri.
On the occasion, Gulchain Singh recalled that in the general body meeting of DSS the members of the JKHCBA had whole heatedly extended their full support to the DSS and the various causes that it is promoting for the Jammu region and the State. Welcoming Angurana the president DSS said that it is a matter of great pleasure that an active senior IAS officer has shown the urge to carry on with the noble task of public service even after his retirement. Assuring to put in his best efforts for the cause of people of this region, Angurana expressed concern over the depleting water flow in Tawi River that is the life line for the habitat of Jammu City. Welcoming the idea the committee decided to appoint a sub-committee with Angurana, Ghulam Ahmed Khawaja Additional Secretary of DSS including a team of engineers and to formalize the proposal in the next executive body meeting.
