DPS Nagbani celebrates Earth Day

DPS Nagbani celebrated earth day at school to prove and carry forward the message about the ecological imbalance which has been caused by the creation and human evolution over the years.
The events organized were a conscious effort to teach the young minds to develop compassion and mindfulness for all the species of life and to find some solution for the environmental crises.
The children of primary classes enjoyed coloring pictures of national animals and made scrap files using waste materials. Primary students presented a skit in which they pleaded with the people to consciously come forward for the safety of the flora & fauna.
Students made pamphlets on carpooling and slogans on environment protection. A stimulating speech was also given by the student of class VIII to enlighten the students about the menace of global warming and toxic materials. The emphasis was laid on the use of cycle as an awareness drive for pollution free environment and healthy lifestyle. The programme ended with a pledge that an effort should be made to reaffirm moral and ethical response to seek cooperation and to generate awareness amongst the people that education is not money spinning machine only but a tool for creating tolerance and peaceful co-existence with faith in unity in diversity with other life forms. The programme was presided over by the Principal of the school R.K Verma who quoted the lines from a poem “What would the world be, once before, of wet and wilderness? Let them be left. O let them be left; wilderness and wet. Long live the weeds and the wilderness yet”
