DPS organizes special assembly to celebrate Christmas festival

Delhi Public School Jammu organized special assembly to celebrate the festival of Christmas in its premises today. The colourful bells, stars, buntings and brightly decorated Christmas Tree adorned the stage while heartful Christmas Carols sung by around 200 Children on the stage ushered in the joy of Christmas as the other students presented impressive Nativity scene exhibiting the birth of Jesus. This was followed by a mesmerizing dance performance by the tiny tots on X-mas and New year songs. The most coveted figure Santa Claus made his grand appearance at the end and stole everyone’s heart.
Addressing the students, Principal DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra highlighted the spiritual importance of Christmas and urged everybody to open their hearts for receiving everything good and noble. She congratulated staff and students for putting up a wonderful show. She also released two school magazines – ‘ Tarini’ and ‘Kriti’ – the hardiwork of the students of middle & senior wings respectively. Winners of various inter house and inter section competitions were awarded by her.
Headmistress, Meenu Gupta appreciated all performances and conveyed her festive wishes on the occasion. After the vote of thanks by Akshay Gupta, the house incharge -Tawi, the event concluded with the National Anthem.
President RCT, M K Ajatshatru Singh, PVC, Ritu Singh and Director, S S Sodhi conveyed their warm wishes on Christmas and New Year to all students, their parents and members of the staff.
