Ensure power supply in schools during winter session

Authorities directed the education department to cancel winter vacation in the Kashmir valley so that children would not suffer from their studies as they suffered during Kashmir unrest but due to unscheduled power supplies seems to be it is difficult for students as well as for teachers to resume the education in the intense winters in the valley. Taking all this, Chief Minister directed the Power Development Department to devise a mechanism for doing away with unscheduled cuts in power supply during winter. Due to her efforts for making education smooth in valley students, now power department has to make sure that power supply would not suffer in the valley. Already in winters, there climate would be touches minus in some places of the valley and heating equipments are necessary for the schools so that teachers can easily teach during snow or rainy days. Earlier, CM also the divisional administration to not to let the winter season in the Valley become an impediment in the execution and completion of developmental works. She issued these directions while chairing an officers’ meeting here to review the winter arrangements in the Kashmir valley. Even the CM has asked the divisional administration to identify the components of developmental works, which could be taken up and executed during winter months. She specifically flagged off works like dredging and desilting, earth cutting, interior works etc which could be taken up during the winter months. The main motto of the government is to complete the pending syllabus of the students so that they would not suffer any more and make them busy in studies. Already several reports of frequent and unscheduled cuts in power supply in the Valley and asked the authorities to devise ways for ensuring regulated supply of electricity during winter months for this CM has  specifically directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the shrines of the Valley for the coming Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).
