Admitting that the retired ex-servicemen from the State have been demanding land for a residential colony, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti Monday said that the land has not been allotted yet.
“The demand for the Sainik Colony is from ex-servicemen who are state subjects. No ex-servicemen from outside the state has demanded land for Sanik colony, Mehbooba told reporters at the Civil Secretariat here after inspecting a guard of honour.
“But till date the government has not allotted any for establishing Sainik Colony,” she said.
Mehbooba said that no power in the country will go against the special status of the state.
“Whether it is the chief minister or the Prime Minister, nobody can go against the special status of the state,” she said.
