‘Falling CSR a matter of concern’

The critical situation created out of sharply falling Child Sex Ratio (CSR) overall in country and J&K in particular can be best answered by empowering women.
In a programme held today, Former IGP SS Bijral, convener Beti Bachao Beti Padho said that sharply falling ratio of girls against 1000 boys called CSR has created a critical situation. He said from 927 in 2001 national average in 2011 has fallen to 918. Highlighting the consequences of declining ratio to students and staff, he urged them to carry home the message for others enlightenment. This awareness he said would encourage girls to be upcoming in the changed favourable scenario shedding their traditional choices of education sector. Bijral mentioned of corporate sector increasingly poised favourably towards professional skills of girls.
Anju Dogra state committee member deliberated at length on unjustified social bias against girl child and hailed the fast growing change favouring girl child. She exhorted them to be responsible in their conduct seeing general insecure atmosphere around and to uphold their parents trust for their ever maintained support.
Kamal Singh Choudhary adequately recounted women achievements in various fields to convey women potential needed to be thoughtfully explored and tapped for the nation.
Principal Dr Renu Gupta of Army Public School and C.R.Bhagat of Kendriya Vidyalya Damana thanked the team for strong message favouring girl child sent to their parents at home. 11 girl students who scored 10 out of 10 CGPA in academics and two girl students who excelled in national sports from APS Damana; 7 girl students who excelled in academics and two in national level sports from Kendriya Vidyalya respectively were awarded medals for their recognition and morale boosting.
A banner each conveying PM Narinder Modi’s message about Beti Bachao Beti Padhao was fixed in two schools to remind and refresh daily his message to the students.
