Command Area Development (CAD) department Jammu today convened a meeting to review functioning and progress of ongoing CAD&WM (Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojna & Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna) and RKVY projects under the chairmanship of Financial Commissioner, Agriculture Production Department, Pramodh Jain.
The Director, CAD Jammu gave a brief resume of all ongoing CAD&WM (PMKSY) projects in Jammu Division.
The Financial Commissioner emphasized the need to speed up efforts in the areas of low physical and financial achievements of ongoing activities of CAD&WM (PMKSY & RKVY) projects and timely submission of utilization certificates and proposals for processing of Centre Share.
Financial Commissioner directed the concerned officers of the department to prepare complete information with regard to irrigation profile of Command Area Development Jammu i.e. irrigation potential created and utilized, total khull wise/canal wise profile of all projects being implemented, prospective planning for next five years, scheduling of adaptive trails, demonstrations and farmers trainings.
He advised that the trainings of project farmers of Command Area Development Jammu should be conducted preferably during off season. It was also directed to prepare maps of khulls of the ongoing projects. The senior officers of the department were also directed to conduct regular monitoring, evaluation of the ongoing projects and its impact study by the internal and external agency (preferably SIMKOS- NABARD).
Besides, the issues pertaining to the developmental activities and administrative matters were discussed and deliberations were held on administrative issues including de-weeding of old records, conducting of DPC of non-gazetted staff, finalization of seniority, steps needed to be taken for filling up of vacant posts besides re-organisation of CAD Jammu and submission of proposal thereof and capacity building of executing staff for effective execution of OFD works of CAD Jammu.
Director, CAD, Manisha Devi Sharma besides Project Officer, S&WM, Chief Agriculture Officer, Assistant Soil Conservation Officers of four Sub-Divisions along with all Soil Conservation Assistants also present in the meeting.
