Tom Clancy’s The Division

Tom Clancy’s The Division is set in New York City, right after a pandemic has hit the city, crippling basic services and cutting off access to food and water. As a result of the chaos, a group of agents known as The Division are activated. Playing as one of these agents in a persistent and ever-changing open world, you make friends and enemies while trying to figure out the source of the virus and get the city back in order. The game has garnered a lot of attention for it’s open PvP zone, where you can team up with your buddies and take on other teams for epic loot, while making up your own rules.

Dark Souls 3

Dark Souls 3 is undoubtedly one of 2016’s most anticipated games and a game I am personally waiting for. As I have mentioned in my previous article, the Souls games are great video games because they tell the story of the game through the gameplay, something that is very rare nowadays. Although the games are action role-playing video games set in an open world environments, they are very different from what most people expect from an open world game, in terms of depth. To me a Souls game is one where I can expect amazing gameplay that I could loose weeks of my life to, and I can’t imagineDark Souls 3 being any different.

Far Cry Primal

Far Cry Primal is a Far Cry game set in the Stone Age. The series that was essentially a first person shooter experience has now taken a turn to a time before guns, making it the first Far Cry game without gunplay. The game puts you at the bottom of the food chain resulting in battles with giant mammoths and sabretooth for survival. Far Cry Primal is the story of you going from being the hunted to the hunter, while you learn to craft weapons and dominate beasts and other tribes.

Quantum Break

I think at some point, everybody has wanted the ability to control time and Microsoft’s big shooter in 2016 lets you do exactly that. Set in a world where somebody’s time machine experiment has ruined time for everybody else, it is up to you to save time itself. Playing as Jack Joyce, you will have the ability to freeze time, giving you the option to manipulate the surroundings to your advantage. You will use these powers to take on Paul Serene and his company, Monarch Solutions, as they seek to end time.
