Various organizations on Friday paid rich tributes to Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his 126th Birth Anniversary here.
Lashing out at those forces who are opposed to the philosophy of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar but now try to identify themselves with his birth anniversary celebrations for political vested interests, Bahujan Smajwadi Party State Vice President Somraj Majotra said. Majotra was addressing party workers in a function organised as part of culmination of year long 126th Birth Anniversary celebrations of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, here.
Another program was organised at Ambedkar chowk near old bus stand kathua by all india confederation of SC/ST/OBC organization and Lord Budha Club along with various social and religious organizations.
On this occasion various persons speaks about the life and achievement of Dr. B.R Ambedkar.
District president Shiv Kumar Pangotra highlighted the achievement of Baba Sahib particular in formation of Indian Constitution/ reservation and women empowerment and also labour laws and castism. Hence he was able to write many books on subjects like Indian economic system and his writing are relevant even after too many years. On this occasion Roshan Choudhary, said that Bharat rattan Dr. B. R Ambedkar wasn’t just a politician but an intellectual as well who did some great work as an economist. There was hardly an economist who had as much insight as his in that era. Those who spokes on the occasion are D.R Soni, Sushil Gupta, Omkar, Sumit Kumar, Ajay , Miss Ankita , President of guru Ravi Das Sabha , Babu Ram President of Kabir sabha Kathua, Sabtantra Bharti, Nav Chetan, Thoru Ram , Ashok Kumar President OBC, Sansar Chand, RamKrishan Verma, Nazir Ahmed, Murari Lal, sardari Lal, Munish Kumar . BJP Kathua unit also organized a programme at Akhnoor in which floral tributes were paid to B R Ambedkar on his birth anniversary. The function was organized under the chairman ship of BJP district president Premnath Dogra attended by other party leaders and workers.
