Jammu Tawi, November 25
Former Vice President, Jammu and Kashmir Bank Limited, Suresh Kotwal on Friday joined National Conference (NC) in presence of the party president and former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah and pledged to work for carrying forward the mission of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah in strengthening unity between various segments of society and regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
Welcoming Suresh Kotwal in the party fold, Dr FarooqAbdullah hoped that he will work for strengthening the party at the grass roots level and help in achieving the objective of empowering people politically.
Besides, Provincial President, Devender Singh Rana, Provincial Youth National Conference President, Ajaz Jan, Provincial Secretary Sheikh Bashir Ahmed and Provincial Vice President, Anil Dhar were also present on the occasion.
Kotwal reposed faith in the leadership, saying National Conference alone can steer the state out of the current morass and lead it to peace, progress and prosperity. “The track record of the party stands testimony to the fact that National Conference has all along worked for upliftment of the people, especially those belonging to weaker sections of society, and equitable development of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh”, he added.
