Four day First Aid training programme concludes

The four day First Medical Responder cum First Aid Training Course organised by District Administration with the support of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) and National Head Quarter, New Delhi concluded at Community Hall Maitra here today, District Development Commissioner, (DDC) Ramban Mohammad Aijaz was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the four days training programme by the IRCS, Jammu and assured of all help by the district administration. He called for the updation of the training and underlined the need for availability of more and more sophisticated equipments to the volunteers. Some mock drills by the volunteers attending the training from Rural Development Department, Education, ICDS, ASHA workers were also exhibited on the occasion.
According to the Honorary Secretary, IRCS, Jammu Region, RC Puri five of the ten districts including the most road mishap prone Ramban and Doda districts of Jammu province have been chosen for conducting such trainings.
The deputy Medical Superintendent Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, Subject Specialist Dr.Deepak Kumar, CMO, Dr Anwar Bhat, Coordinator Indian Red Cross Society Jammu, Ashok Sharma Dy. CMO, Dr. Iqbal, Executive Sectary DRCS Ramban, Raj Singh Raju were the resource persons.
