Four nabbed with 182 pouches of liquor

Police on Friday arrested four person and recovered 182 pouches of Indian made liquor (Frooties) at ward no. 3, near Happy palace Kathua.
According to a report, a party of Police Station Kathua led by Inspector Anil Kumar Sharma laid a naka at near Happy Palace road. During the Naka, police intercepted four pedestrian and recovered 182 pouches of liquor from his possession.
The accused were identified as Avtar Singh S/o Dayal Singh R/o Ward No. 06 Kathua, Romal Singh S/o Jassi Ram R/o Sawla Tehsil Kathua, Ludder Singh S/o Harnam Singh R/o Bhed Balod and Jarmez Chand S/o Labbu Ram R/o Dolian Tehsil Marheen carrying 50, 43, 45 & 44 in total 182 pouches of Indian made liquor (Frooties) respectively.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 134/2017 u/s 48(a) Excise Act stands registered against them at Police Station Kathua and investigation is in progress.
