Future Generali India Insurance launches i-ViSS for faster motor claim settlement

Future Generali India Insurance Company Limited (FGII), the general insurance arm of the joint venture between retail game changers Future Group and global insurer Generali, today announced the launch of Intelligent Video Streaming and Settlement (i-ViSS), a video-based motor claim settlement facility for customers. With the help of this facility, the customer can asses and adjudicate the loss through video streaming of his vehicle, undertake documentation, get instant cost approval and recieve a quick payment from the insurer for motor insurance claims of up to Rs. 50,000
Customer can survey his/her vehicle through video streaming, get instant cost approval and quick payment from insurer
Customer will have liberty to get the vehicle repaired as per own convenient time and place. Turnaround time for claim settlement expected to be reduced to just one day

Commenting on the launch, K. G. Krishnamoorthy Rao, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Future Generali India Insurance Company Limited said, “We are excited about the launch of i-ViSS. In today’s age, using videos and images have become one of the most convenient ways to communicate. With i-ViSS, we aim to make the best use of these mediums to empower our customers by simplifying the claims process and reducing the overall turnaround time in motor claim settlement.” “Having a robust insurance infrastructure is a must to deepen insurance penetration in the country. Only when a customer is assured of hassle-free claim settlement, will he/she choose to buy an insurance policy. With simple processes to follow once a claim is intimated to the call centre, i-ViSS helps both claim adjudicator and the customer to interact with each other, assess the loss on vehicle using live streaming facility through mobile, upload photographs and required documents, agree on an amount and settle motor insurance claims. The customer can then get the vehicle repaired at a convenient date and workshop. It is, however, imperative that the customer sends pictures of repaired vehicle to the claims department to cover future claims ,if any.
At Future Generali India, i-ViSS is yet another addition to the many technological advancements introduced in order to speed up motor insurance claim settlement. The Company also has an app called ‘i-Moss’ for motor claim surveyors.
