Give sense of belonging to border youth: Sadhotra

Addressing a meeting of the youth at PARWAH in Marh, former Minister and senior leader National Conference, Ajay Sadhotra has emphasized the need of giving sense of belonging to the people especially youth of border at this
crucial time of escalation on the border. In the meeting, many youth from BJP joined J&K National Conference.
The BJP-PDP government in the state and BJP led government in the centre have left the border people at the mercy of God. The people are feeling isolated and helpless, asserted Sadhotra. National Conference leader has asked the government to reserve for border youth the posts of Constables and SPOs in J&K Police out of 5000 and 10,000 posts respectively, which government is going to recruit. On-spot recruitment be made of border youth as was previously made by the Dr Farooq Abdullah government and Omar Abdullah government.
The Border Youth are very bold and courageous. Their families have been facing trouble on the border since 1947. On-spot recruitment will give the sense of belonging and encouragement to the youth living along International Border and Line of Control, said Sadhotra.
Sadhotra further said the previous government has recommended to the central government for release of funds for construction of Community Bunkers in border villages for safety and protection of border dwellers but it is unfortunate that as usual lip service has been done, no funds have been released, no bunkers have been constructed as yet and border villagers have to face the music under the sky.
Sadhotra welcomed the new young entrants in the party and hoped that their coming to the party will strengthen the hands of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah. Those who joined are Lucky Verma, Sham Lal Sharma, Rajnish Sharma, Vinod Sharma, Arun Kumar, Raj Kumar Sharma, Sunil Sharma, Raj Kamal Sharma, Surinder Kumar, Dilawar Singh, Sukhdev Sharma, Fandhu Sharma, Purshotam Lal, Swaran Kumar, Anshu singh, Manu Verma, Kamal Lal, Dheeraj Gupta, Suman Kumar, Sonu Gupta, Prem Kumar Panch, Sham Lal.
