GMS Sadoh wins U-14 boys’ cricket final

Government Middle School (GMS) Sadoh clinched the under-14 boys’ cricket tournament in the inter-school zonal level competitions of Samba held under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Sports Stadium, here today.

In the final, GMS Sadoh trounced Calvary Mission High School Samba by nine wickets.  Robin Sambyal was declared man of the match for his 20 runs innings while Neeraj Kumar of winning team named outstanding player of the day for taking away six wickets.

Earlier, in the semifinals, Calvary Mission beat Modern Institute of Education, Sumb and GMS Sadoh defeated National High School Samba by six wickets.

The event was declared open yesterday by district officer, Subash Chander, who was accompanied by ZPEO Samba, Rakesh Verma.  Among others present were Principal, Cooperative Model High School Samba, Karan Singh, Principal, National High School, Samba, Raman Singh Sambyal, Dr Sunil Dubey and Dr Monika Dubey.

Also present were Anirudh Singh, Kulbir Singh, Bhopinder Singh, Zorawar Singh Sambyal, Raj Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Sumant Singh, Shashi Sambyal, Asha Rani, Sudesh Kumari, Seema Sharma, Suman Lata, Rajinder Sambyal, Shobana and Rakesh Kumar.
