Alleging that Education Minister Naeem Akhtar is showing an unreasonable desire for revenge by scapegoating students of the valley, main opposition National Conference (NC) today asked the government to postpone the examinations in view of the prevailing situation in the valley.
“Akhtar has arrogantly and vindictively asked the students to be prepared for examinations on time even though students have lost out on school time for more than 100 days,” the NC said.”The government should arrange tuitions for students so that a significant part of the syllabus is completed and they are also well
prepared for their entrance examinations in the future,” it said.
“Despite knowing the ground realities, education minister seems to be trusting exams pup on students. Akhtar is showing an unreasonable desire for revenge by scapegoating students of the valley.
Why should students bear the brunt of Akhtar’s frustration? Government should
postpone the exams scheduled in November in wake of the prevailing situation in the valley,” the NC statement added.
