Govt committed for equitable development of all regions: Abdul Haq

Minister for Rural Development, Panchyati Raj, Law and Justice, Abdul Haq, today said that the Government is committed for the equitable development of all the three regions including Chenab Valley of the State. He said the State has its own characteristics, problems and potential, and Government’s policies are directed to work on them and make most of the opportunities for welfare of the People.
Speaking on a Private Member’s Resolution moved by Firdous Tak demanding creation of separate Chenab Valley Development Department, or Advisory Board, the Minister said that processes and institutions are put in place to promote and achieve balanced development of all regions.
He also informed that number of Government schools were clubbed or relocated with the aim to provide quality education by providing adequate number of teachers and improved infrastructure there.
Replying to a question of Qaiser Jamsheed Lone, Abdul Haq informed that most of the clubbed schools were housed in rented buildings. He said the Government owned buildings spared in the process are proposed to be used for other activities of School Education Department including Adult Literacy Centres as well as libraries.
