Govt extends last date for filing I-T returns in JK to Sep 30

The last date for filing Income Tax returns for taxpayers in Jammu and Kashmir was again extended to September 30 by the Government today, in the wake of the ongoing turmoil in the state. Traders in Jammu hailed the government’s deceision for this step.

Whare house traders association President, Rakesh Gupta along with senior Vice President Kirti Gupta said, “Due to unrest in Kashmir valley, Jammu traders faced huge losses in business and with the extend date for filling the tax give relief to traders.”

Chamber of Commerce General Secretary, Arun Gupta said, “Traders appealed government to extended the last date for filling tax returns and government extended the last date September 30, 2016, in case the situation in Kashmir is not improve then traders once again appeal the government for further extending of date.”
