Government has finally planning to take stern action against those government employees who are failed to attend the offices during protests in Kashmir valley for this purpose, government asked the concerned authorities to constitute a joint team of officials to keep a check on attendance of government employees.
Sources said, “Chief Minister has taken cognizance of some official reports in which there has been no visible improvement in attendance in some government offices in Kashmir valley”, added that she has also asked the authorities to constitute a Joint team of officials to keep a check on attendance of employees.
Chief Minister has issued directions to all the administrative secretaries to ask employees to report immediately to their duties, failing which action as warranted under rules should be initiated against them, sources said and added that Chief Minister said that onus lies on the Secretaries to ensure the full attendance of employees and make employees more work-oriented.
According to the sources the police have informed the government that over 20 per cent of the state government employees, mostly from the rural districts, are playing an active role in the protests and continuously follows separatists’ protest calendar.
Large number of officials including several senior officers prefers to keep away from their offices, while some from Kashmir have flown to Jammu without prior permission since the unrest began in the valley on July 8, sources said.
Earlier, State Government has identified nearly 500 government employees, working in different departments, who have been actively involved in anti-national activities. And these employees are in the fore-front to put whole Jammu and Kashmir on the fire to fulfill nefarious designs of separatists and other groups. Of these over 500 government employees, nearly 60 employees are on gazetted posts and drawing huge salaries from the state exchequer.
Sources said that sleuths of intelligence agencies, after one month long exercise, have identified most of the employees who have directly involved in fueling unrest and violence in Kashmir Valley and some parts of Jammu province also.
