Govt to cover left-out areas of state in Command Area Project: Hanjura

Minister for Agriculture Production, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today informed the House that Government would launch a comprehensive survey to bring rural pockets of Srinagar and other left out areas in the state into Command Area Project.Replying to the supplementaries raised by some members, the Minister said that the works done under Command Area Project have yielded good results and Govt would try to bring left-out areas of the State into the project for their development.Replying to the main question by Mr Gulzar Ahmad Wani, the Minister informed the House that Aripath Command Area Project amounting to Rs 162.16 crore has been included in the District Irrigation Plan (DIP) of Anantnag district. The Minister said that DIP of Anantnag district has been submitted to the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare for sanctioning along with DIPs of other twenty districts of the State.
