Believe it or not; due to Pakistan’s sponsored Kashmir-unrest (India), tensions have gone high between India and Pakistan following the Uri terror attack last month. And, if truth be accepted, strains are otherwise very much in-elevation throughout the world, these days. WE live in dangerous times, and the threat of global annihilation is always lurking just around the corner.Nuclear war is always a lingering threat and recent escalations over ‘Syria’ risk reviving Cold War tensions between hostile nuclear powers including India & Pakistan. And, reservations been now very much conveyed by the world leaderships that subsequent to ‘Water – Terrorism’ will be the supplementary reason of 3rd world war.
Against the backdrop of tensions between the two countries, there have also been reports saying the Indian government might look at airspace restrictions for Pakistan airlines. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) however cancelled some flights from Karachi to New Delhi and Mumbai due to “very poor” passenger numbers amid tensions between the two countries. And, on other side, air traffic to Srinagar Airport has also gone down by 60% with just about 30 in and out flights presently operating daily instead of 76 in the beginning of July and authorities believes that numbers may further go down because of not much passenger flow. And, yesterday only; Go-Air also cancelled its flights from 16th October, onwards.
Yes! Yesterday only there were unconfirmed reports about multiple missiles were fired on Saturday at three US warships in the Red Sea, though none was hit and there were no casualties, the US military said, amid rising tensions with Yemen’s Huthi rebels.
PM Modi, while addressing the BRICS-SUMMIT- a grouping of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa; said, “In the world we inhabit today, security and counter-terrorism is necessary. Terrorism casts a long shadow on our progress and prosperity. The most serious direct threat to our economic prosperity is terrorism; tragically, its mother-ship is a country in India’s neighbourhood, the foreign ministry earlier quoted PM Modi as saying at a closed-door meet of the BRICS leaders. This country shelters not just terrorists. It nurtures a mind-set, which loudly proclaims that terrorism is justified for political gains. PM calls on BRICS country to work together for early adoption of CCIT, step up practical cooperation against #terrorism,” foreign ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.
Yesterday, PM Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping held bilateral talks agreeing that terror was a scourge for the region. China, which is noncommittal on India’s membership of the Nuclear Suppliers Group, a club of nuclear-trading nations, steered clear of any commitment on action against Pakistan or terrorist Masood Azhar, leader of the terror
group Jaish-e-Mohammed group, as a terrorist.China, sources said, are open to a strong statement on terrorism, but would not like to cast Beijing’s alliance with Pakistan into doubt. We are maintaining dialogue with China (on Azhar), we expect China will see logic in it,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup had told reporters. However, PM said we look forward to working with China to realise India’s membership.
Anyhow, whatever be the results, Mr. Prime-Minister; in other verses & lyrics, DIPLOMACY-means; not to give-up and try-again till conclusions and accomplishments.
At the end, No let-up else give-up witnessed in protests and joint-resistant’s leadership in Kashmir unrest where injuries and attacks are becoming a routine business.
