Guv urged to rehabilitate persons rendered disabled in shelling

Viklang Chhatra Trust (VCT) Old Care Society has appealed Governor NN Vohra to ameliorate the living conditions of the victims of unprovoked Pakistani firing from across the border by providing them financial support and proper compensation.
Satya Pal Saraf, Organizer of VCT, in a letter addressed to the Governor said that a sizeable number of victims belonging to Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Pooncha and Rajouri districts bordering LoC and International border have been rendered permanently disabled due to heavy mortar shelling of Pak rangers.
“They were given paltry amount of Rs 5000 for treatment whereas many of them have sold their all valuables for their treatment”, he said.
Quoting a case of Sai Khurd village of  RS Pura Tehsil, where on August 28, 2015, a mortar shell busted in the residential premises of Bhola Ram and Subhash Chander, sons of Karam Chand, where in wives of both brothers were killed while the brothers-duo suffered limb loss and the old lady of the house as well as two children were also injured,  Saraf appealed the Governor to sanction proper compensation to assuage and issue directions to arrange the further treatment of all the injured family members on Government expenses.
