Harshit Gupta shined at Inter school chess championship

Harshit Gupta of K.C International School won the overall championship Gold Medal and Rs.11000/- Cash prize in the ongoing Inter school chess championship at Tiny Tots School Sainik Colony Jammu in which about 700 players over 20 different schools of Jammu participated. In the super final he won all the matches and drew one to claim the overall championship. Ishita Raina of Tiny Tots School Sainik colony was given special prize of chief Arbiter’s choice Rs.1000/- + Gold Medal .Besides all the group winners were given Rs.1000/- cash alongwith gold medals and certificates. The event was played in six different groups 1-4th class Boys as well as girls, 5-8th class boys as well as girls, 9-12th class boys as well as girls. Raman Bhalla Ex-Minister was the chief guest on the occasion and Naseem Javed Choudhary Dy.Director Protocol J&K Govt. was guest of Honour. Also present on the occasion were Atul Kumar Gupta President “All J&K Chess Association” Taranvir singh gujral Vice president AJKCA, Kuljeet Singh Jamwal chairman Chess in school program Committee Jammu division ,Vikas Nanda coordinator AJKCA,Raj Kumar Co-chairman CIS Commiittee Jammu division, Dr.Vikram Handa Principal Tiny Tots school, Madam Gurpreet Handa Director Tiny Tots School ,Arun Manhas Secretary CIS Program besides other guests. Raman Bhalla appreciated the great initiative of AJKCA to give platform to youth of J&k so that their mind is diverted in positive direction. He also appreciated the efforts of tiny Tots school for organizing such a mega event in their school and bringing out the hidden potential of the students.
