HC stays closure of 45 Brick Kiln Units

In a petition filed by 45 Brick Kiln Units challenging the order of Regional Director State Pollution Control Board regarding closure of Brick Kiln Units, Justice Tashi Rabstan of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing advocates Yasser Ejaz Tak and Anshhuja Tak appearing for the petitioners issued notice to State which was accepted by Deputy AG PS Chandel who seeks and granted week’s time to file response  and court ordered that subject to objections from other side and till next date before the Bench impugned notices regarding closure of Brick Kiln Units shall remain stayed.

During the course of arguments Advocate Yasser Ejaz Tak submitted before the court that petitioners are owner of Brick Kiln are operating their brick kiln for the last more than 30-40 years in district Kathua and Samba, thereby catering to the needs of the people of this state for the purpose of construction of their houses and other construction purposed by supplying them with the bricks at affordable rates.
